Kevin Gallick was the principal of George Washington High School, a neighborhood high school on Chicago’s far south east side from 2012-2020. His leadership focused on restoring opportunity and moving beyond the rhetoric of equity to equitable outcomes. Kevin’s practice is rooted in both theory and practice which addresses the learning needs of students, staff, and the community. Kevin and his team were credited with a successful transformation in school culture and academic achievement. Under Kevin's leadership the four-year cohort graduation rate at Washington has increased from 61% in 2013 to 82% in 2017 and college enrollment rates have moved from a low of 35% to 66% in 2017. Kevin received his B.S. in Public Affairs from Indiana University, his M.A.T degree in History from University of Illinois at Chicago, and his Doctorate in education from University of Illinois at Chicago.

In 2020, Kevin took a position with Providence Public Schools as a Transformation Officer. In 2022, he assumed the role of Assistant Superintendent with Rich Township High School District in Matteson, Illinois.
