Joseph Gates was a member of the third Cahn Fellows cohort in 2005 as Principal of I.S. 238 Susan B. Anthony Academy in Queens, NY. Joseph went on to lead the Frederick Douglass Academy and now the Urban Assembly Academy for Future Leaders. In 2022, Joseph was recognized with the Distinguished Principal Award from the Middle School Principals Association.
