Esther Leon has been a Los Angeles Unified School District Principal since 2012. She served four years at Chatsworth Park Elementary and is starting her ninth year at Noble Avenue Elementary School. Principal Leon strives to create a culture of trust, respect and vulnerability with the intent of creating genuine relationships with all stakeholders and empowering them with knowledge so they can hold one another accountable. She is committed to ensuring both students’ academic and social emotional long-term success. For over 40 years, Principal Leon has been a member of Los Angeles Unified School District: Student, Teacher Assistant, Teacher, Coordinator, Assistant Principal, Principal and Parent. She received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Teaching from Occidental College.

Armando De La Torre, Ally

Armando De La Torre has been a Los Angeles Unified School District Assistant Principal since 2017. He served two years at Michelle Obama Elementary and is starting his sixth year at Noble Avenue Elementary School. Assistant Principal De La Torre strives to support his principal in creating a culture of trust, respect and vulnerability with the intent of creating genuine relationships with all stakeholders and empowering them with knowledge, so they can hold one another accountable. He is committed to ensuring both students’ academic and social emotional long-term success. For over 40 years, Assistant Principal De La Torre has been a member of Los Angeles Unified School District: Student, Teacher Assistant, Special Education Assistant, Teacher, Instructional Coach, Intervention Coordinator, Assistant Principal, and Parent. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Human Development from Azusa Pacific University, a Master of Arts in Education from Pepperdine University and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from California State University, Northridge.
