Nick Marinacci was a member of the sixth Cahn Fellows cohort in 2008 as Principal of Bronx Writing Academy in The Bronx, NY.
Nick most recently served as Deputy Superintendent of NYC Alternative Schools. Before that, he was an executive principal and a principal in New York City and a teacher in both New York City and Washington DC. Some of Nick's awards include nomination as a Hometown Hero by the New York Daily News, a NYC Educational Technology Summit Award and The Austin H MacCormick Award for Outstanding Leadership. Nick received a bachelor's degree in History from the College of William and Mary, a master's degree in Elementary Education from Lehman College, and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Baruch College. He is proud to have entered the teaching profession through Teach for America and completed his principal training through New Leaders for New Schools. As of July 2022, Nick serves as the middle and high school principal at South Bronx Charter School for International Cultures and the Arts.
