In September of 2021, Diana Vega-Nunez was promoted to Elementary Executive Principal and then in 2022 she was promoted to Executive Director after serving as Principal of W.H. Adamson High School for 4 years. She’s served students in Dallas ISD for 19 years as an elementary teacher and administrator in the elementary, middle, and high school level. Nunez believes education and access are the great equalizers and that college success is a pathway to social and economic mobility. Due to her leadership and focus on improving schools, Diana was named Master Principal, a distinction awarded to top-performing principals demonstrating success with metrics such as school culture and climate and overall student growth. She’s served on the Superintendent’s Principal Group and was previously a Principal of the Year finalist. Nunez received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas, Master of Bilingual Education degree from Southern Methodist University, Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas, and Superintendent certification from the University of Texas at Arlington. Diana received her doctorate in Educational Leadership through the University of Texas at Austin's Cooperative Superintendency Program in 2022.
