Melissa Rodriguez is the principal of PS/MS 140, located on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

Melissa Rodriguez was born in NYC. She was raised on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, where she attended District 1 schools. She graduated from Cathedral High School. She received her Bachelors Degree from Manhattan College and her Master's Degree from Hunter College and Fordham University.

After college, Ms. Rodriguez began her career as an educator. She worked as an elementary school teacher. She was promoted to Assistant Principal and soon became Principal. Ms. Rodriguez has been a principal for 15 years.
