Dr. Meisha Ross-Porter was a member of the eleventh Cahn Fellows cohort in 2013 as Principal of The Bronx School for Law, Government and Justice in The Bronx, NY for 18 years. Meisha Ross-Porter rose through the New York City education department’s ranks as a teacher, principal, and executive superintendent and was the first Black woman to lead the nation’s largest school system as Chancellor.  In her  current role as the inaugural CEO of the Bronx Community Foundation, she will focus on investing across the Bronx, and engaging with community stakeholders around the needs of the community.
