Phil Weinberg joined the Cahn Fellows Programs as the principal of the High School of Telecommunication Arts and Technology and remained so until he was promoted to Deputy Chancellor of the NYCDOE in the Office of Teacher Effectiveness, Division of Teaching & Learning in 2014. He retired from the NYCDOE in 2019 and is currently the CEO of The Writing Revolution.
