Alicja Winnicki was a member of the eighth Cahn Fellows cohort in 2010 as Principal of P.S. 34 Oliver H. Perry in Brooklyn, NY. After coming to the US from Poland, Winnicki went on to teach ESL in Brooklyn, becoming a principal and Superintendent of District 14, which has made bilingual/multilingual education one of its hallmark under her leadership.
